Middle and high school

AP Spanish and Spanish for teens

Spanish for middle and high school students, taught by someone who knows what teens need for their exams and what parents and counselors expect.

What we work on

  • The AP Spanish Language and Culture exam from the College Board, including the speaking and writing tasks.
  • Oral proficiency: speaking with confidence and accuracy, the skill that most often holds teens back.
  • Everyday Spanish for school, travel and conversation.

A different way to learn

Cayo trained as an architect, and it shows in his classes. His students learn by looking: they describe façades from his analog film photographs of Cuenca’s historic centre, talk about streets and spaces, and build visual scrapbooks along the way. Describing something you can see is a natural way to practise the vocabulary and the structures the oral exams ask for.
